Thyroid Health
Thyroid health ~ and where my health journey first began. If you are someone with thyroid issues, then some simple things you can do to support the health of your thyroid (which is a major part of our endocrine system) include:
•Using essential oils such Myrhh, Clove, Lemongrass, Peppermint & Frankincense to support & regulate the thyroid gland.
•iodine - without iodine the thyroid cannot make the thyroid hormones properly
•iodised salt - most salt is stripped of its nutritional benefits, so start looking for and using iodised salt in your food
•eat snacks like seaweed which is naturally rich in iodine which is essential for normal thyroid function and Brazil nuts for selenium - helps to protect the thyroid gland from damage and plays a crucial role in the production of thyroid hormones
•managing stress & calming the nervous system - this is a must, as those adrenal glands are probably not happy either. Reiki and sound baths are a beautiful way to bring balance back to the body (I have sessions available)
•balancing hormones with supplements like maca (you can get organic maca from Cole’s and Woolworths) and ashwaganda (from the health food store)
•getting regular exercise & sleep
•reducing chemical overload and toxicity from your everyday body products & cleaning products in your home
•reducing additives in your food / reducing processed foods in general & looking for more natural & fresh alternatives
•detoxing the thyroid with pineapple juice
The thyroid is a butterfly shape gland in the base of our neck - in the throat chakra. The throat chakra is also linked with our expression, communication & whether we feel heard, whether we feel safe to express our voice, our opinion and what we need. 🦋 What I have found is there is a direct energetic link with thyroid imbalances, so while working on the physical things like food, reducing toxicity, adding supplements and oils etc, it’s equally important to look at the why / who is keeping us from truely being free to just be ourselves and speak our authentic truth 🦋
Don’t be afraid to speak up, to question things & to state your boundaries.
