How I support my Thyroid after surgery

How I support my thyroid 🦋

After I had 1/2 my thyroid & a large nodule removed I began my journey of holistic healing.

I added things like iodine liquid - an essential mineral that the body requires for healthy thyroid function, brain health and development. Iodine helps the thyroid to make thyroxine which is important for how the cells in the body work, regulating metabolism & ensuring healthy function of the major organs.

Iodine is also great for the immune system and can naturally heal and reduce cysts in the body over time by regulating hormones again.

I ate Seaweed snacks, lots of fresh food, Brazil nuts for selenium which is important for T3 production & changed my salt to either iodised salt or Celtic Sea salt.

I also juiced pineapple to draw toxins out & detoxify the thyroid & swapped my body products to natural ones.

I used Essential oils like clove, lemongrass, frankincense & Myrrh & created the ‘Thyroid Health’ blend to help nourish & support the health of my thyroid & heal my scar (which it has done beautifully).

The thyroid is also directly related to our throat chakra, our voice & communication. Some things you might like to think about are - Are you are suppressing what you really want to say? Are you feeling unsafe to be heard? Toxic people / narcissism can play a massive role in our ability to speak our truth which can energetically impact us too. Maybe shutting down & staying silent has helped keep you safe. I understand as I’ve been there & spent the majority of my life in the same boat 🌊 Setting strong boundaries to reclaim my peace & authentic voice has been vital in my healing journey.

This is why I believe that health is holistic. While a physical symptom may be presenting such as thyroid issues, often a deeper issue can be the root cause. With the right support and tools to detoxify and nourish, your body has a tremendous ability to heal🦋
